Winding Lines, Wrapped Vessels and Oops Artworks!  Stretch out, loosen up, and create with movement and repurposed materials. This week is all about energy, transformation, and turning “mistakes” into masterpieces.  

This week in Artopia, artists will: 

• Grab a Long Brush and paint with sweeping gestures — use your whole body to create winding lines, then join others in a collaborative floor painting. 

• Create a Wrapped Vessel using recycled bottles and containers! Make one for your art supplies at home and one to brighten the shelves of Artopia. 

• Turn scribbles into surprises with playful drawing prompts that celebrate experimentation at the Tabletop Sketchbook. 

• Learn from our teaching artists who are playful guides ready to spark curiosity and nurture confidence. 

• All materials included. 

Dedicated Toddler Area: 

• Weave, wrap, and tie at the Ribbon Barrier — a tactile and visual exploration for little hands and growing imaginations. 

• Explore a play area with books, foam blocks, soft mats, and building toys to support creative and safe exploration. 

During this Summer Session, you will make art to take home and contribute to collaborative projects that will shape our evolving studio space!

Summer Session tickets are available online or at the Museum Welcome Desk. Members, please log into your member account to access the discounted rate. 
Summer Passes must be purchased in person at the Welcome Desk.  

Please note: Summer Session tickets do not include general Museum admission. If you’d like to explore the Museum, separate admission is required and available at the Welcome Desk. All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to explore the Museum.
